Before you start
- You need an Upsolve project and the owner, admin or member role in its organization.
- You need a HubSpot user who is allowed to install apps in your HubSpot account (a Super Admin, or a user with App Marketplace access).
Connect HubSpot
1
Open Easy connect
In your Upsolve project, open Project settings → Connections and click Create connection, then choose Easy connect. A project with no connection yet shows the same choice on its first page.
2
Choose HubSpot
HubSpot is listed under Ready to analyze. Click it.
3
Agree to how your data is stored (first app only)
The first time a project uses Easy connect, Upsolve explains what it copies, where the data is stored and how it is billed. Check the region your data will be stored in (use Change region to pick another; it cannot change later), tick the box and click Continue to HubSpot. You are not asked again for later apps.
4
Sign in to HubSpot
A window opens on HubSpot’s own sign-in page. Choose the HubSpot account to connect, review the permissions and click Connect app.
5
Done
The window closes and HubSpot shows Connected · syncing. Upsolve starts copying your data at once. The first copy takes from a few minutes to a few hours, depending on how much data your account holds.
If your browser blocks the sign-in window, Upsolve says so. Allow pop-ups for Upsolve and click HubSpot again.
What Upsolve reads
Data flows one way, from HubSpot to Upsolve.
Upsolve prepares these tables for analysis automatically. Your HubSpot account may hold other data, such as tickets, line items, quotes, invoices or marketing events. Upsolve offers those tables in the workspace’s data model, where you can turn them on.
Permissions Upsolve asks for
All of them are read-only.- Required: contacts, companies, deals and owners, and the schemas of contacts, companies and deals (
crm.objects.contacts.read,crm.objects.companies.read,crm.objects.deals.read,crm.objects.owners.read,crm.schemas.contacts.read,crm.schemas.companies.read,crm.schemas.deals.read). - Optional: read access to the rest of your CRM and marketing data (for example tickets, line items, quotes, invoices, lists and campaigns). HubSpot only grants the ones your HubSpot subscription includes, and Upsolve works without them.
Where your data is stored
Your HubSpot data is copied by Fivetran, Upsolve’s data-sync provider, into a private Snowflake database that Upsolve manages for your project, in the region you chose. Upsolve does not keep your HubSpot sign-in. Fivetran holds the access HubSpot granted and uses it only to copy your data.Keep it up to date
HubSpot is copied again every 6 hours by default. To change that, open the Easy connect connection (under Project settings → Connections) and pick another refresh cadence (from every 15 minutes to every 24 hours). Sync all now copies the latest data immediately.Reconnect
If HubSpot stops granting access, for example because the user who connected it left your company, the app shows Needs reauthorization. Open the Easy connect connection page, click Reconnect next to HubSpot, and sign in to HubSpot again. Your data and workspaces stay as they are.Disconnect
- In Upsolve: on the Easy connect connection page, click the trash icon next to HubSpot and confirm. Syncing stops, and HubSpot’s tables are removed from your Easy connect database. Workspaces built on them lose that data.
- In HubSpot: go to Settings → Integrations → Connected apps, find Upsolve and choose Uninstall. Upsolve can no longer read your account, and the app shows Needs reauthorization until you reconnect it or remove it.
